On the evening of June 25, YG released the teaser MV for FOREVER, BABYMONSTER’s comeback product, three months after their debut mini-album. Contrary to the somewhat dark image of the first poster, the teaser MV opens with the seven “little monsters” looking chic in a hotel setting.
The eldest duo, Chiquita and Ruka, unexpectedly become the “centers” in the teaser, with sharp, charismatic close-up visuals that are equally “slay.” Additionally, the moment when six members sit around Pharita with bored expressions also raises curiosity.

Notably, the melody of FOREVER, revealed with continuous catchy beats, received much praise from the online community. While the previous MV poster was considered outdated, the teaser’s beat is a “star of hope” for YG, aiming to refresh the rookie group.
However, the beat with its intense drum rhythm also garnered mixed reactions, with some calling the music “poor.” Some comments noted that the beat of FOREVER resembles BLACKPINK’s billion-view hit DDU-DU DDU-DU. Others argued that the two melodies are completely different.

Moreover, netizens discovered that the first scene in BABYMONSTER’s FOREVER teaser features a bag that BLACKPINK used… 8 years ago. Specifically, in a pre-debut photo, BLACKPINK posed with a bag labeled BABYMONSTER. Somehow, this bag reappeared in YG’s rookie group’s teaser, hinting at a predestined connection.

Many netizens found a photo YG posted on August 4, 2016, without the BABYMONSTER text, suggesting it was edited into BLACKPINK’s image. However, some dug up an old supportive post from PSY (then still under YG) on X, and surprisingly, the text “BABYMONSTER” was present in BLACKPINK’s photo.
Some believe YG edited the “BABYMONSTER” text out but forgot to send the edited photo to PSY.
