YG Entertainment’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER (베이비몬스터) is teaming up with the world’s largest music streaming platform, Spotify, to expand their global influence. With their upcoming debut full-length album set to be a massive project, their rapidly rising trajectory is expected to gain even more momentum.
On October 24, YG Entertainment announced that BABYMONSTER has been selected as a Spotify ‘RADAR KOREA’ artist. Spotify’s RADAR campaign is dedicated to discovering and spotlighting global rising stars. Notable artists like The Kid LAROI, Lauv, Tyla, and Lil Baby were discovered early through this campaign.
Through Spotify’s tailored campaign, BABYMONSTER will be introduced to global music fans in various ways. In addition, they will participate in the ‘RADAR LIVE’ fan event, held both online and offline in November, and share a variety of content, including member interviews and behind-the-scenes videos.
BABYMONSTER has already demonstrated significant potential on Spotify, achieving multi-million streams with tracks like ‘SHEESH’ and ‘BATTER UP,’ and recording over 7 million monthly listeners as of October 2024. Spotify stated, “We expect them to continue leading the music scene with their incredible talent, and we will continue to provide full support to help them connect with more listeners.”
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is set to make their comeback on November 1 at 1 PM with their first full-length album, ‘DRIP.’ The album will feature a total of nine tracks, including the double title tracks ‘DRIP’ and ‘CLIK CLAK.’ The group also plans to launch large-scale promotions, including multiple music video releases and a global tour, aligning with their massive project ambitions.
