BABYMONSTER has given fans a thrilling look behind the curtain with the release of behind-the-scenes footage from the music video for their latest title track, ‘WE GO UP’. According to an OSEN report, the video, which was surprise-released on October 12, highlights the members’ intense dedication to the action-heavy concept. Breaking from their usual choreography-focused videos, this project features the members as powerful warriors facing down different villains. To prepare for their roles, the members underwent rigorous training at an action school to perfect the high-difficulty stunts required.
Overcoming Challenges for the Perfect Shot
The members demonstrated true professionalism as they immersed themselves in their roles. Asa, as the ‘Cyborg Swordmaster’, flawlessly executed difficult wire scenes while handling the weight of a sword. Ruka, the ‘Assassin’, overcame her fear of heights to complete a charismatic two-story fall. Other members also shone in their roles: Chiquita delivered powerful fight scenes as the ‘Fighter’, while Rora expertly handled a rifle as the ‘Sniper’. Despite challenging conditions, Pharita completed her mountain wire scenes without faltering, and Ahyeon showed relentless passion for detail. The members continuously coordinated their expressions and movements to achieve the best possible result.
Global Success Continues
Despite the intense filming, the members maintained a bright and energetic atmosphere on set, with moments of fun chemistry, like Rora helping Asa with her makeup. “The preparation process was so much fun, and we think this will be an unforgettable music video,” the members shared. Their hard work has paid off, as their second mini-album, ‘WE GO UP’, topped the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart upon its release on October 10. The title track’s music video also claimed the top spot on YouTube’s ‘Most Viewed Video in 24 Hours’ and ‘Trending Worldwide’ charts. BABYMONSTER will continue to promote the album through music shows, radio appearances, and various YouTube content. An exclusive performance video revealing the full choreography for ‘WE GO UP’ is set to be released on October 14.
