BABYMONSTER appeared on SBS Power FM’s ‘Cultwo Show’ to talk about their new song, “WE GO UP”.
On the 19th, the group introduced their powerful hip-hop track. They said, “It’s a song with a message about becoming a game-changer that shakes the world and rising to the top.”
The “WE GO UP” music video, released on the 10th, is getting rave reviews, with fans calling it “an action blockbuster movie.” It also hit #1 on YouTube’s ‘Most Viewed Video in 24 Hours’ and ‘Trending Worldwide’. Adding to their success, YG Entertainment confirmed that BABYMONSTER’s 2nd mini-album, ‘WE GO UP’, topped Japan’s Oricon Daily Album Chart on its release day, the 11th.
The members revealed they were so serious about the MV concept that they actually attended action school. Ahyeon learned parkour, Chiquita practiced martial arts, while Ruka and Asa trained for wire action. Ruka, who has a fear of heights, stunned everyone by jumping from a two-story height for a scene.
“It wasn’t easy,” Ahyeon said. “But after we did it, the results were good, so it was satisfying.”

Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER also successfully finished their first-ever world tour while preparing for this comeback. They met 300,000 fans in 20 cities, including Seoul, New York, LA, and Bangkok.
When asked if they feel their global popularity, Rora humbly answered, “I think more people recognize us now than before.”
The full ‘Cultwo Show’ episode with BABYMONSTER will air on October 19 at 2 PM KST on SBS Radio. Fans will be able to catch the full version on the ‘SBS Erao’ YouTube channel after the broadcast.
