Behind-the-scenes footage of the music video shoot for the mini 2nd album title track “WE GO UP,” showcasing the group’s intense action acting, was surprise-released on the 12th.
This music video was produced with a female warrior concept facing different villains. Unlike previous choreography-focused videos, the emphasis was on action acting, so the members worked up a sweat taking advanced training at an action school to achieve high-quality cuts.
BABYMONSTER, which began full-scale shooting, immersed themselves in their roles with professional performances. Asa, the “cyborg swordmaster,” overcame the weight of the sword and perfectly executed difficult wire scenes, and Luka, the “assassin,” also overcame fear of heights to complete a charismatic two-story drop scene.
Chiquita, the “fighter,” showed powerful fight scenes, and Lora, the “sniper,” stylishly executed the demanding rifle-loading motions. Parita, the “psychic,” completed a mountain wire scene without wavering despite severe weather, and Ahyeon, the “bomber,” kept her attention to detail until the final moment, burning with passion. The members continued their challenges, finely adjusting their expressions and movements for the best results.
BABYMONSTER enlivened the set with a bright atmosphere throughout each of their shooting locations. Lora helped Asa with her makeup and took photos, creating a warm chemistry that made fans smile. The members said, “The preparation process was so much fun and I think it will be an unforgettable music video,” and added, “Please give a lot of attention to ‘WE GO UP.'”
BABYMONSTER made a comeback on the 10th with the mini 2nd album [WE GO UP]. The album topped the iTunes worldwide album chart, and the title track “WE GO UP” music video is enjoying popularity, ranking No. 1 on YouTube’s “most viewed videos in 24 hours” and trending worldwide.
