BABYMONSTER released the behind-the-scenes footage of the “WE GO UP” exclusive performance video, which has been receiving explosive reactions from global fans for its dazzling visuals and lavish scale, on the 25th.
Before the main shoot, the members dove into choreography practice and showed enthusiasm from the start. Even though the choreography consumed a lot of energy by moving their arms and legs dynamically, they repeatedly synchronized their breathing and worked on performances that matched the song’s mood to increase completeness.
The first day of outdoor filming proceeded in sweltering weather with a felt temperature of 36 degrees, but the members’ passion was even hotter. With about 50 mega crew members and an unprecedented scale of colored fireworks creating an overwhelming spectacle, the members’ upgraded performances and deep hip-hop swag combined to produce a result that satisfied everyone.
Despite filming that continued into the night, the members displayed exceptional chemistry and led the set with a warm, friendly atmosphere. Taking photos together during breaks, teasing each other while not withholding praise—those heartwarming teamwork moments brought smiles to viewers.
After repeatedly practicing and closely monitoring every detail to avoid missing anything, the shoot was successfully completed. The members said, “It was our first time shooting with the mega crew dancers, but everyone seemed to be in sync,” and added, “Please continue to show a lot of interest in ‘WE GO UP’ going forward.”
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER made a comeback on the 10th with mini album 2 [WE GO UP]. The title track’s music video surpassed 100 million YouTube views faster than any K-pop artist music video released this year, and the exclusive performance video surpassed 89 million views 12 days after it was released on the 14th, drawing double traction in popularity.
