BLACKPINK (블랙핑크) is officially returning with new music this year.
YG Entertainment’s Executive Producer Yang Hyun-suk (양현석) unveiled the agency’s 2025 artist roadmap through a video uploaded at midnight on May 26 via YG’s official YouTube channel, outlining upcoming activities for BLACKPINK, BABYMONSTER (베이비몬스터), TREASURE (트레저), and more.
“BLACKPINK will finally be returning to their fans after a long time,” Yang said in the announcement. “Although the exact release date is not confirmed yet, we’ll be sharing news about BLACKPINK’s new song soon.”

Along with BLACKPINK’s comeback teaser, Yang also revealed that BABYMONSTER’s next single, titled ‘Hot Sauce’, will be released on July 1. Describing the track, he said, “It’s simple, upbeat, and addictive. A gift-like song designed for fans to enjoy their summer with fun and excitement.”
Following the July single release, BABYMONSTER will drop a mini album featuring four tracks on October 1.
TREASURE is also gearing up for a busy season. The group will release a mini album on September 1, followed by a new world tour starting in October. Yang added that he recently met with all the TREASURE members and discussed releasing two albums annually—either mini or full-length—on a consistent basis.
Yang also touched on plans for launching new groups. “We currently have two male trainee teams. Team A’s average age is around 18, and Team B is between 15 and 16 years old,” he said. “We also have two female teams in training, but since BABYMONSTER debuted just a year ago, it makes more sense for a boy group to debut next. I’m analyzing both teams closely, and I plan to debut one of them next year.”
Additionally, YG has finalized the lineup for a new four-member girl group. The company plans to showcase their training process and eventually release solo tracks for each member in 2026.
Yang also addressed one of the biggest complaints from fans—YG’s slow album release cycle. “We’ve revamped a lot of our internal systems to improve the timeline,” he explained. He added that starting in the second half of this year, YG will introduce a new system-based approach to boost productivity and secure multiple IPs.
