The group Baby Monster will make a comeback with its first full-length album amid the support of singer G-Dragon.
Baby Monster (Luca, Parita, Asa, Ahyun, Rami, Laura, Chiquita) held a press conference at the YG Entertainment headquarters in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul at 11 a.m. on the 1st to commemorate the release of its first full-length album “DRIP.”
When Laura said she was making her comeback in three months, she said, “I’m coming back with my first full-length album in a shorter time than I thought. I want to repay the love and support of many fans,” he said. Chiquita then said, “This album contains songs of various genres, so we will be able to show you a new side of Baby Monster.”
Like the title, the first full-length album “Drip” is a crystal that condenses the charm of Baby Monster, which overflows even after filling the album. The nine tracks, which are composed with all their heart and soul, unfold these music colors in a more colorful way.
Luca said of the album, “I think I can express YG’s new classical music. We will be able to show you our tone and our teeny side as well,” he said. In response, Rami said, “I paid more attention as it was my first full-length album, and nine songs were included, including a double title song. It is a fun album to listen to because it contains songs of various genres,” he added.

The title song of the same name as the album, “Drip,” is an EDM-based dance song that melts Baby Monster’s confident attitude and YG’s unique hip-hop vibe. Another pre-released title song, CLIK CLAK, is a minimal and detailed track that emphasizes the low and high range, and is a song that feels confident and relaxed in the lyrics and flow.
“At first, ‘Drip’ was the sole title, but all the songs were so good that I decided to go with a double title to ‘Click Clack’ after discussing with the company,” Asa revealed the behind-the-scenes story, adding, “All seven rapped for the first time in ‘Click Clack.’ He also said, “The music video itself is black and white, so I think you will feel new, and you will see our cool expressions and camera moving.”
G-Dragon participated in the composition of the “Drip” and drew attention. When asked what it was like when she first heard the news, Laura said, “At first, everyone was so surprised that I asked, ‘Are you sure?’ When I heard that it was real, I thought we should work hard to repay it as it was a good opportunity.”
Laura then said, “I think everything was explained by one demo of G-Dragon,” and Asa added, “I listened to the demo, and I tried and cared a lot to keep up with G-Dragon’s style and swag.”
You could also hear Ahyun’s behind-the-scenes story of “3rd tier high notes.” Ah-hyun said, “It’s the part that impressed me when I first heard ‘drip’. Originally, the melody was stable with one high note, but the general manager (Yang Hyun-seok) listened to it in the recording studio and raised it one by one, saying, “Ahyun will be a little more skillful,” and then said, “I got to do a three-tier high note.”
Then, what is the goal that Baby Monster wants to achieve through the “drip” activity that contains their charm?
“The thing we wanted to do the most was the world tour. It’s nice to be able to achieve it because it’s something all seven of us want to have as one goal. So one goal is to finish this world tour well. We will prepare a fun concert as much as the fans have waited for us, so please look forward to it.” (Laura)
Baby Monster’s first full-length album “Drip” will be released at 1 p.m. that day.
